Tangible Design - "Simply Pattern"

I haven't really ever been as excited about an art book as this. This is AWESOME.
Pretty much a collection of how pattern is everywhere. Consists of several different categories displaying the uses of pattern (fashion, product, environment etc.) There are some genius ideas here - example: wallpaper that reacts to the heat of a radiator and subsequently alters/adds to its pattern. Yes, you should buy it.
Pick this up here.

Tangible Design - "White Noise"

A friend of mine passed this book on to me a while ago (..which reminds me, I need to return it.)
The company White Noise are based in Belfast and consist of a team of dudes and dudettes that are good at stuff - as you can see.
I love the idea of working in a team for the purposes of creativity, but still being unique.
Check these guys out, Northern Ireland has a lot of understated and underpromoted talent.

Tangible Design - "Creative Review"

I've had a look at this magazine brand a few times in some stores, it's usually full of advertising and I've never really been able to justify buying it. A friend showed me his copy of this issue last year and I shot out to find it.
This is their photography annual, pretty much all of the content is stunning. Very inspiring. I've had it lying around my desk for some time just taking moments to read about different methods and feast on the images.
I'd recommend looking out for it this year, it came out around November.

Tangible Design - "Over and Over"

Is fantastic. So much of design is on a screen nowadays, there's nothing like gleaning over it in your hands.
Its awesome whenever you find something handmade too. This book displays a load of pattern based designs - the majority being fully or partly hand-drawn... its just beautiful!

I'm writing about this to encourage people to buy it - and many others like it. Its when you check out this stuff you really see in your head, to be blunt, where the wheat is separated from the chaff. Its like digital and film photography, not that I hate digital photography or computer-based design, but we've lost the essence of creativity in this generation.
