A short trip to MickAdee's, like.

A guy called Coran was at GP one evening with his antique car from 1920/1930's, in appropriate fashion he took it through the drive thru and parked right at the entrance of the restaurant.

Another story is when he was sitting in traffic near the town hall in Ballymena. The guy was right next to Pat's Brae (where the library is) so he took the incentive to drive up it and through - yes THROUGH - the bollards to get by the traffic. Genius.

Amen, brotha.

I'm away to Newcastle for a few days, I've got more film to shove so I'll post again soon.

Wahey, lomo shots came in.

Some of these are from a trip to Coleraine. Dave had a lovely idea to take worship in music to the streets around Northern Ireland for three weeks of his summer. Ruth-Anne and I tagged along, sang, played, gave out free ice lollies with him for some of it. I managed to not get one shot of us on the street.. but hey... Burger King is pretty fun...
It was an awesome experience, talk about losing the comfort zone..

I love lomo.
These are in no perticuler ordur. Two different films - a kodak slide film and a crap fuji one of bog-standardness. If you're amazing you'll guess which is what, the scanner was bad and they've been edited a bit.
I hope to get some lovely portraits this summer, this camera is seriously 'the business' to travel with (in fact, its part of my 'Travel Gear').

Summer is going to be a lot of fun with this. If you have no idea what I'm talking about go here.
This one is brand new, I got another one in the post today because I had foolishly bid on it and then received an offer for this brand new one.. anyway, its on ebay, buy it.

The architecture project just started, surprisingly I think I'm going to enjoy it regardless of it taking up my summer.. a project using digital and colour slide film. MIGHTY.
Architecture: capturing the form of a structure or building with consideration to light and shadow, colour, shapes and various other elements. Yesterday our tutor asked us to get some shots yesterday without going 200 yards from the college.

Pablo: The biggest big dude over there. He was shooting skateboarding with a film camera during camp, one of the few who encouraged me to begin using it.
Ruth-Anne: Deepfish Summer 2007. A pretty grainy image from one of the Deepfish outreach nights in the Wash Basin, I remember this night like not many other nights, she is a loving person who lives to serve.

Summer Brings Progress

I say this because theres a ton of light to use. And praise God for that awesome weather.
I went out for shots of my brother and some guys downhill biking, hopefully I'll get out again, I'd love to get a few 'stonkers' (ref. Big Trev the sound guy) for my photojournalism project for college.
I'm in dire need of a better camera, flashgun and calibrator for my computer monitor, unfortunately £331 per month doesn't cut - I do, however, have a Father who provides, not for my gain, but to show His excellence and beauty in my work.

Yesterday I was doing a job for Absolute Technologies, an audio visual company from Ballymena, awesome guys. Matt took me around a few churches to capture the essence of their work for some promo items.

Project Two

The second project for college was on the portraiture theme. I chose to shoot my cousins.. and perhaps I could literally have done that after we had finished. I have so many ideas for portraits, and sometimes the studio feels like a box with limited possibilities. Maybe my mind will be changed.

This here is the final panel, so it is.

Theres a lack of new photers percause its on film and needs to be developed, paid for, carried home, scanned, resized and uploaded.
You didn't need to know any of that, it's just to occupy your already empty and lonely internet wanderings.. HA!

Uh huh.. pardon me for being a do-nothing for approximately one month. Apparently people check this quite often. Thanks dudes, your love goes a long way.
Reason for the lack of photogging is due to my lack of working for a certain college project. I just finished that today.. at half 3 in the morning... remind me never to do that again.
It was B&W film based, I may perchance display the final panel here. Influence was this guy.

Regardless of projects, general photoing will continue.

This is Ruth-Anne, she may appear here frequently, I really do enjoy this shot.

Also, besides the goofy face, I think she's getting the hang of this.

Recently, I have become very attracted to taking portrait shots, to capture the beauty of each person, in whatever way that is. So, you'll probably notice that. How nice.

Post-Conference

Everybodys physically drained but our souls are at a new level. And we're fed up talking about it like we've always done. There are so many needs around us, all that is required to fill them is bravery - a sacrafice to set free a lost soul in Jesus name.
I had an awesome time getting shots while we worshipped, this is a few of them - sooner or later the David Andre Ostby and Brenton Brown gig will appear here. It's such an incredible thing to have freedom in creativity in church, it's just unheard of - but praise God the dream is bigger than ourselves.

At some point I'll post all the projects here - for your scrutiny. Some are on film and I have yet to bother my myself to scan scan scan.
The third was titled 'Natural Forms', this was mounted exactly as you see it.. all black n' stuff.. mmm.

No result yet, no doubt I'll let you know. Perhaps YOU could give me your mark for it..!
Project Four as I said is open, it promises to be pretty MAD, serious.

Theres a good chance I'll be posting previous photographs for a while, college puts a hold on me actually being free to shoot what I want..... ironically the next project is OPEN! And now I have no ideas, maybe you will?

This is the opening day of Greens Pastures new building. This was 13-01-08, some of the nicest from Morning and Evening.
